Programs

Addiction treatment programs give an individual with a substance use disorder the greatest opportunity to achieve lasting recovery. With both a psychological and physical support system, they are best able to manage substance use issues and any withdrawal symptoms. Effectively treating a substance use disorder requires a drug and alcohol recovery program that addresses their substance use and any underlying mental illness that may exist.

There is a wide range of addiction treatment programs available today. Choosing the right treatment option means assessing the severity of the addiction, the patient’s medical history, their willingness to begin recovery, and several additional factors. Some of the most common treatment programs include:

At Dignity Healing, we offer inpatient substance abuse detoxification and residential treatment levels of care. Our clients receive round the clock medical supervision and begin their recovery within a structured and safe environment.

Our facilities provide a beautiful and comfortable setting wherein true healing can begin. Each patient has a dynamic treatment plan designed by their therapists and caseworkers, individualized to meet their needs. They will receive the highest level of care and services during their stay, all founded in evidence-based addiction treatment.

Inpatient Recovery Programs

Detoxification (detox) is typically the first phase of the addiction recovery process. The body must go through a process to eliminate toxins present from drug and/or alcohol use. Medical detox aims to manage withdrawal symptoms by incorporating medications if needed to reduce the physical symptoms of detox. Medical addiction professionals are paramount during this time, as they carefully oversee each person’s treatment.

Mental health is addressed right away at Dignity Healing. Therapy is an important element early on in the addiction recovery process. A therapist is assigned to an individual and begins working through their substance abuse challenges. Many patients note things that they learn and work through in the first few days of detox stick with them forever.

Inpatient recovery programs provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is critical to the intensive experience as it lays the foundation for immersive addiction recovery. Some of the most important features of inpatient recovery at Dignity Healing include:

  • Individual, group, and family therapy
  • Lectures, films, and disease-focused educational opportunities
  • Medical assessment and maintenance under the care of a Medical Director and Registered nurses
  • Psychiatric Services as needed
  • Meals and snacks prepared by a chef and approved by a registered dietician
  • Nutritional Services
  • Coordinated community activities/outings as appropriate for individuals at the residential level of care
  • Other therapeutic interventions including recreational therapy, psychodrama, meditation, and yoga
  • Exercise/fitness activities for a healthy lifestyle
  • Neurofeedback therapy
  • Introduction to 12 Step, or other support groups, as appropriate
  • Case management services for connections to vocational, medical, employment services, and other community resources that will assist in restoration to enhanced living (services are specific to the location of the program participant)

Dignity Healing takes pride in offering luxury rehabilitation. This means our brand new facility offers top-of-the-line amenities and professional services for a best-in-class addiction recovery experience.

Outpatient Recovery Programs

For some people a full-time, inpatient recovery program is not suited to their recovery needs. As such, an outpatient recovery program is a rehab option. Outpatient recovery treatment is a great option for those who need to continue living in their home while they work on changing their lives.

Therapy is a major element of an outpatient recovery program. Whether someone is undergoing intensive outpatient treatment or not, counseling is the cornerstone of this type of recovery plan. Outpatient behavioral therapy often includes the following types of therapy:

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Contingency Management (CM)
  • Individual and Group Therapy

Tackling substance abuse in an outpatient recovery treatment program can be very effective when matched with the right patient. At Dignity Healing, we are happy to help our patients find the recovery program that is right for them, giving them the best chance of long-lasting success.

Support Group Meetings

Whether you choose to enter an inpatient recovery program or an outpatient recovery program, support group meetings will play a critical role in your road to recovery. Allowing yourself to be vulnerable and open up in front of others who are also recovering from addiction or alcoholism is extremely powerful. For instance, 12-step program sober support groups are an excellent way to join a group in a safe and supportive environment. Being involved in support group meetings allows for addicts to share stories, learn meaningful lessons, and feel connected with their peers. There are also support group meetings outside of 12-step programs. SMART Recovery (Self Management and Recovery Training), Recovery Dharma, and Celebrate Recovery are also well-known, reputable communities for recovery support.

In addition to support group meetings for a person with a substance or alcohol use disorder, there are a number of support groups for families and loved ones of substance users. People who have lived with or have a close relationship with someone using substances often need help to deal with the impact of addiction. Al-Anon, Alateen, NarAnon and ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics) are excellent resources for families and friends to navigate the addiction recovery process and feel supported during these challenging times.
