While the COVID-19 pandemic has driven the majority of the country into lockdown, Dignity Healing remains open and dedicated to providing unmatched drug and alcohol detox treatment. During this global health crisis, safety and prevention are top priorities as our addiction professionals help those along the recovery journey. In our effort to protect both current and future patients, as well as our staff, we are strictly abiding by the recommendations from the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Before any patient is admitted to our recovery treatment center, we are taking extra precaution by administering safety screening. Dignity Healing is currently using our own lab to conduct COVID-19 testing, using safety protocols and on site testing. We understand that our patients come from all over the country and remain committed to not only providing best-in-class drug and alcohol detox treatment, but doing so in the safest manner possible for both our patients and our staff.

As we work tirelessly to guide those struggling with addiction, we adhere to the following Dignity Healing protocols:
Safety for Patients and Staff
From hygiene to general safety precautions, we remain up-to-date on all coronavirus best practices. Our medical staff is proactive in ensuring that the health of all current patients, future patients, and staff is a top priority. Any staff who has had direct contact with COVID-19 or shows any symptoms of the virus will be asked to follow the CDC guidelines, which state that the person self-isolate for 14 days with no symptoms from the time of contact.
Dignity Healing screens each and every patient prior to admitting them into the program. We thoroughly review the patient’s potential exposure, symptoms of the virus, recent travel history, and direct contact with any other persons diagnosed with COVID-19. Anyone who screens positive will not be admitted to recovery treatment. Anyone who screens negative will be eligible for admission to recovery treatment.
While Dignity Healing maintains a strict cleaning and sanitizing policy at all times, we have increased our deep cleaning process to address any potential concerns. In addition, our patients and staff are encouraged to avoid any skin to skin contact as well as to continually practice proper hand hygiene.
COVID-19 Therapy Treatment
COVID-19 has taken a toll on everyone in one way or another. The therapists at Dignity Healing are trained on the impact of anxiety linked to COVID-19. We are offering groups to work through these issues with our patients.
As we test patients and staff in our own lab, a number of questions have arisen regarding Dignity Healing and our approach to COVID-19.
Who can get the COVID-19 test?
Any patients being admitted to Dignity Healing receive a test. In addition, any current patients who are showing symptoms or feeling sick are given a test.
What is the COVID-19 testing process?
We collect a sample from the patient using a blood test that is similar to a diabetes test. Test results are available within 15 minutes.
Do I get a copy of my test results?
Yes, test results will be available to each patient and can be reviewed with our medical staff.
What is the purpose of testing everyone?
In order to keep our facility healthy and safe, testing all current patients, admitting patients, and staff is extremely important.
Who can see my test results?
We follow strict HIPAA compliance guidelines and therefore our testing is 100% confidential.
Do I have to pay for the test?
No. Dignity Healing is absorbing the financial burden of the associated costs of testing COVID-19 to ensure the safety of our patient population and our entire staff.
Addiction treatment centers have remained open as a commitment to helping those struggling with substance abuse. The outbreak of COVID-19 has caused many addicts, even those in recovery, to turn to drugs or alcohol to deal with the fallout of social distancing, the sudden loss of a job, and other major changes in their life. In addition, the global health crisis has triggered many dealing with emotional and mental health challenges that underlie their addiction. As a result, COVID-19 has had a significant impact on addicts worldwide.
Dignity Healing is steadfast in our commitment to serving those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. If you or a loved one are ready to take the first step in your recovery process or have any questions about the rehab process, we are here for you.
